Weekend Project

Kevin's weekend project the last two Saturday's was a backyard regulation size horseshoe pit. He has been talking and dreaming of this pit since we signed the papers for the house in Dubai. I won't even mention the amount of time he has dedicated to the "almost as good as George Bush Senior's pit in College Station, but not quite there yet...) Which by the way is the pit that Kevin officially won the 2001 Texas A&M Intramural Horseshoe Tournament and at the same time broke GB's scoreboard. Anyway, after two trips to Home Depot to scout out the perfect sand and numerous questions from people about the nice sandpit we must be building our son (ha! sorry Josh, this is daddy's sand, not yours!) Kevin finally completed his pits and spent the day christening them. We invited both of his brothers and our friends Russ and Bethany over for the big event. The big boys spent the evening in serious competition while the ladies watched the little boys play in the water. It was a great day and now we have one more excuse to spend time outside!
This is the official attire of anyone who desires to work on a backyard horseshoe pit.

Kevin what a wonderful horse shoe pit. Why it's the best I've ever seen! The garden looks great too.
