Happy B-Day Kevin

Our dedicated friends David, Tasha and Drew
Kevin's highschool friend and college roommate Randy, his wife Joni and Alex

Kevin turned 30 this weekend!  He was so relaxed and treated this birthday just like any other.  It didn't make sense to me because the thought of turning 30 already freaks me out and it's still two years away.  In my mind I'm still 23 and if I didn't stop to think about it anytime someone asked my age, I'm sure I'd say 23 every time.  Kevin said that it didn't bother him at all, but it might if I didn't stop talking about how awful it was.  Of course this post is not meant to offend anyone in anyway and maybe some of you can even relate.  It just amazes me how time flies.  Well, we had a great day of celebrating my husband, full of his favorite things:  horseshoes, crawfish, and Aggie Football.  He was expecting his family to show up but we had some surprise guests that made the party even more fun.  It was really cool to see people there from all stages of his life.  He had friends from early childhood, high school, college, and now as adults.  I love how loved my husband is.  We even had some friends from College, David and Tasha, drive 4 1/2 hours down from North Texas to spend the day with us.
Happy 30th Kev - your the best!

Believe me, I can totally relate. I can tell you off the top of my head how old each one of the kids are (down to the month.) But if someone asks me how old I am, I have to stop and do the math. Earlier this year Breanna asked me how old I was and I instantly replied "30." Dan laughed at me and said, "try again." Somehow I managed to totally lose the last two years in my mind. 30's not so bad. Happy birthday Kevin. Hope it's the best year yet.
